Potsdam, October 30, 2025. It was a shock for Tobias and all GOOD TIMES, BAD TIMES fans: The popular series character, played by Jan Kittmann, is diagnosed with testicular cancer in the RTL hit series, which is produced by UFA Serial Drama. Chemotherapy is unavoidable. For Tobias, a world collapses – suddenly nothing is the same as it was.

What Tobias experiences in the series is bitter reality for many men. After the shock and fear, urgent questions often arise: “Is testicular cancer curable?”, “Will I become infertile?” or “How do I know that I have testicular cancer?” This is exactly where GZSZ and German Cancer Aid come in – with the aim of educating, encouraging and raising awareness of the importance of early detection.

On Tuesday, November 4, at 8:15 p.m., GZSZ star Jan Kittmann will go live on Instagram – together with Professor Dr. Peter Albers, Director of the Clinic for Urology at the University Hospital Düsseldorf (UKD). The talk is about testicular cancer: The expert explains what those affected should know and answers users’ questions directly.

Jan Kittmann, GZSZ actor: “In episode 8.392 on November 4 at 7:40 p.m. on RTL, Tobias returns from rehab to Berlin’s GZSZ neighborhood – visibly recovered and recovered. Treatment and therapy were successful. His positive path should also give hope to other sufferers. I am very pleased that we were able to tell this story in our series, and I am still impressed by the great response and the many moving feedbacks about it.”

Tobias’ story is based on a true story: Lennart Borchert, who plays the role of Moritz in the series “GZSZ”, knows from his own experience what it means to develop testicular cancer – about five years ago he himself received this diagnosis, which is not hopeless: Today he is the happy father of a healthy son.

We invite you to join the Instagram Live and also ask your questions to Professor Dr. Peter Albers. Feel free to send us your questions in advance. We look forward to your participation and reporting.
